Pay It Forward Holiday Party In Santa Monica To Bring Businesses Together

December 7, 2012, Daily Mirror
The economy is hard, marketing is complicated, and times are still tough for small and medium sized companies. Two Santa Monica firms have decided to take on the task of helping business people by arranging the largest Pay It Forward event the city has ever seen to be held at Bar 31 Ten (3110 Main Street, Santa Monica) this Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 6-9 p.m.

The co-owner of Desert Dingo racing, Jim Graham, sent us this great bit of video of Class 11 (mostly stock VW Beetles) desert racing, shot via a camera mounted on a remote-controlled helicopter.

This is a very cutting-edge way to shoot such races, and the end result looks remarkably like a higher resolution version of the classic NES (and other platforms) game Ivan “Ironman” Stewart’s Super Off Road.

VORRA Fallon At Night – Germans Take Class T And Overall
Dusty Times, October 2012
“…Class 11 had just two bugs entered but it was a strong race from the get go. The Desert Dingo Team (1107) with Jim Graham had a few flats, lost the light bar and swapped co-drivers every lap but still managed to come up with the victory with a time of 8:11:39. Finishing all 6 laps at 26:35 behind was Meek Racing (1142) who had power issues for the first half of the race….”

Yerington 300 – Mike Koenig is the Big Winner
Dusty Times, July Issue
Clayton Scudder outlasted the entier Class 1 and overall field to capture his first overall race win. Clayton bested the 58 starters with a time of 6:11:50. For over 30 years he has been racing with VORRA proudly displaying the number 211 in honor of his fallen friend Jimmy Lawrence who won an overall or two in his cut short career but this race a new number for the Scudders Performance car. I asked Clayton race morning why the number switch to 199 and he said that maybe the number change would get the money off his back that’s been there for years and years.
